The Idea
about the film
The short ,Follow the rules’ was produced, animated, edited and sound designed by me a fellow classmate Sophie Gartner. Made during 1st year of the HTBLVA Ortweinschule it was our 1st ever short film!
Synopsis
“The story of this short film takes place in an alien world, in which rules are inforced in a very drastic way. The film shows a few instances of this happening when we meet the passengers of a train.”
message
our intention
The film aims to criticize certain systems, social and political, in a satirical way. The exaggerated consequences of not “following” the rules depict the infinite impossibility of the participation in society.
Despite the heavy theme, we wanted to create a light mood and decided on a colorful animation style.
